President

Donald King, Sr.

Dr. Donald M King, Sr. was born in Washington, DC to the late Ralph M. and Mary B. King.  At the age of 11 he and his family moved to Stafford, VA where he completed his education in the Stafford County Public School Systems. He continued his education at Glenville State College in Glenville, W VA, majoring in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of Fredericksburg Bible and Seminary Institute in Fredericksburg, VA earning a Diploma in Religious Studies and a Master’s Degree in Religious Education. In 2021, he earned a Doctoral Degree through Cornerstone College in Fredericksburg where also serves as a professor and member of the recruiting coordinator team.

A seed of his call to the ministry was first planted by Dr. Frederick S. Jones of Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Triangle, VA. Upon his move to Richmond, Pastor King, under the leadership of Pastor Darryl G. Thompson, was licensed to preach and ordained at Mt. Olive Baptist in Glen Allen, VA.

Along with many other Positions, Pastor King served as Co-Director of Children and Youth Ministry at Mt Olive. He is the former Pastor of Pleasant Plain Baptist, Gordonsville, VA. He is currently (10 years) blessed to be called as the Under Sheppard at Mt Gilliam Baptist in Louisa, VA.  Dr. King is a published author. His first book “Not A Sermon Just a Serving” has sold over 1,000 copies.

He is married (as of July 22, 2022, 53 years) to the former Marjorie Deloris Culley of Stafford, VA; to that union they have been blessed with 3 sons and 3 wonderful daughters-in-law. They are the proud grandparents of six and the great grandparent of one.

After 32 years of service, Dr. King a former District Training Manager for Food Lion Inc. was blessed to be able to retire and move from career to calling, working full-time in the fields of God’s ministry

One of Pastor King’s favorite scripture is I Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord”




Vice President

Sharon Roberts

Pastor Sharon J. Roberts is married to Deacon Melvin L. Roberts. She is a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who dwells in the secret place of the most-High God. Within the community of Bumpass Virginia she served on the Citizens Advocacy Group organized to aid, advise and inform the local citizens of the importance of their understanding and participation in all affairs that effects all facets of life both Local, National and Spiritual.

Sharon also served as a Officer of Elections for the Jackson District.  She is currently serving as a Notary Public for the Commonwealth at Large.

 

Sharon attended J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College studying Criminal Justice. The majority of her work history was in Criminal Justice working for Virginia Department of Corrections Central Office. She also served for 8 years as Director and Administrator of Expressions Learning Center. Gods call into ministry and realizing the great responsibility as Pastor, Sharon retired from secular work devoting full-time into the service of ministry in 2009, Sharon was called as a Gospel minister in 1991, under the leadership of The Reverend Evans C. White, Jr., Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Montpelier, Va. Her service there extended into associate ministry, ushering, Youth minister, Senior’s minister, and President of Deaconess Ministry.

 

Sharon attended Lynchburg Bible Institute for three years and one year at Virginia Union School of Theology Evans Smith Institute. She received her Associates Degree at Fredericksburg Bible Institute and Seminary; and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology in May 2016. She received her Master’s in Theology in 2020 from Cornerstone College of Virginia in Fredericksburg, VA.

 

Sharon was called to assist Pastor Walter Cavanaugh at St. Thomas Baptist Church in 2004. At Pastor Cavanaugh’s retirement, she was called by God and appointed by the St. Thomas Baptist Church family to continue her service as Pastor. In April 2005, she was ordained under the unction of Holy Spirit of God at said Church. Under the leading of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Roberts and the St. Thomas Baptist Church family maintains a Clothes Closet and Food Pantry ministry to aid all who are in need as a service in the Kingdom of God. Her service extends into the Louisa County and Vicinity Minister’s Conference since it was organized in 2008. Serving as secretary, a member of Ways and Means committee and currently as Vice President.

 

Sharon views her opportunity to service as a blessing flowing from the favor of God and man. Her motto: “Living life as the Spirit leads, the Word feeds and watching God the Father supply all needs.”
